Maher Horses are no more...

My game got deleted, all my saved games got deleted off the Sims... I can't back them up, I've tried to follow the advice on the internet but nothing has worked. Sorry to everyone who followed this short journey. I will be back with a new ranch in the future, I hope.

Update

Well, we have two new arrivals! Astro was born in the daytime, he is a beautiful bay colt with one stocking and one pastern marking, a blaze, a greyish front right stocking, and the area around his right eye is very light bay/chestnut! He's very handsome and very athletic! He has the traits: fast, genius and untrained. Perfect boy! Here he is:

Annnnnd, on the same day but in the evening, Alex and Ben had a beautiful baby girl called Anaya! She has the traits: loves the outdoors and genius. We don't know how she's going to look yet but if she looks like her mum it should be good! Haha. Plus I was thinking, because they're the same age, Astro might be a perfect future horse for Anaya... anyway, here she is with Alexandra:

Babies on the way!

Looks like Alexandra is pregnant! This is exciting news; the couple will now have an heir to carry on their legacy with Trakehner horses! As well as that, Sophie is pregnant again with her third foal! It's a happy time on the ranch... well, apart from Alex'a morning sickness:

Foal #2: Carlos

Even though you've already met him, this is Carlos: all grown up edition! He still has the same traits as before (agressive, fast and untrained)... it's really difficult to make them gain traits like 'friendly' and 'obedient', which is annoying. Oh well, serves me right for making an aggressive stallion haha. His jumping skill is already at 8/10 and his speed is 4/10 - pretty good eh! I didn't realise that when the breeding pair has higher skills the foals inherit them, so that was a nice surprise. Anyway here are some photos of Alex jumping him today:

Carlos sold for 8,034 simoleons. He will be missed, but it's time for a new mare and some new foals!

Update

Thought I'd share some photos of the horses settling into the new place! In the first we can see them in the new stable block annnnnd the second is just a nice shot of the family, awww.

I realised yesterday you guys don't even know what Alexandra or Ben look like, so here we go; the married couple in all their glory:

Alsooooo, General and Sophie both reached full skill in jumping! Here he is with Alex:

And Sophie with Ben:

RE-VAMP OF THE RANCH!

Well! I've been hard at work and I've managed to completely re-do the ranch! It's the same lot and the same house, only moved around so that the house is looking onto the road and the stables and feild etc are more hidden. I'm so pleased with how it turned out (and I'm quite proud of myself haha), it looks like a proper jumping yard now, fit with a new sand school and a posh new set of stables! I'm in love. Anyway, here are some photos!

Sorry that the building squares are still on, I wanted to take some photos without my family being in the house! There's so much more room now and the whole set up is entirely more practical, for both horses and humans! I feel like it looks prim and proper ready for my expanding horse family! Bye for now!

Update

Thought I should share a few photos of Sophie and General's new foal seeing as Atheos isn't with us anymore. Carlos is a colt, he's dark dapple grey like his mum, with General's dark legs. He has the traits: agressive, untrained and fast. Hopefully once he's older he'll gain the agile trait and become trained! However because he's aggressive he won't sell for as much as his brother, wah! No matter.

He's a sweetheart really! Haha.

At the moment I plan on re-doing the ranch so it's more practical and has more room for jumping etc. Hopefully it'll be done soon and I'll put photos up when it is! After I sell little Carlos I want to bring in a new mare for training and breeding, I want a chestnut Trake to see what kind of colouring I can achieve with her and Generals genes! General has almost reached full skill in jumping and his speed is coming along nicely too. Sophie is a bit behind because she's been in foal or with a foal a lot of the time! They're both about half way through their lives now and they're doing really well, they're right on track to becoming "Jumping Stars" & "Racing Legends" and after I sell a few more of their foals both Alexandra and Ben should achieve their lifetime goals! Anyway, I'll be sure to post photos of Carlos when he's grown up, bye for now!
